428 Bersih3.0

woke up at 8am, rise and shine, get ready and head out hoping for a good day
drove to Taman Jaya then took LRT to Pasar Seni
met an aunty in the LRT, she asked if she could join us
she is about 50+years old i think.. her name is ah siang : )
she came all the way from Puchong by herself
despite of her family not agree she joining the Bersih3.0
aunty said she came anyway because she wanna shows her children
this is the time for us Malaysian to step up : ) bravo aunty siang
met up with couple of friends at Pasar Seni around 10am
we joined the crowd at 10:30am on Jalan Sultan
then practically do nothing but walk around and wait
there were couple of restaurant/kopitiam/mamak open as usual
everyone put up a bright smile on their faces, just like a carnival
at 12pm DAP staff instructed us to follow the crowd and march towards Dataran Merdeka
we were moving slowly, very slowly
people at the front said it was because police is building up some human-wall
despite of all that, we managed to march to the nearest spot we can
we were stopped by the barricades nearby the Bar Council
we were then instructed to sit down and wait for 2pm
it was around 1pm when the crowd started to sit down
the weather is not ideal but lucky no one fainted at our area
aunty siang was there with us all the way : ) didn’t complaint a thing
only kept asking us no need to worry about her
she will follow us and let us know if she is not well
finally it’s 2pm the crowd stood up and we sang “Negaraku”
i would say that’s definitely more than 100k people
because all i can see was endless crowd
can you imagine more than 100k people singing “Negaraku”
it felt like the independent day
goosebumps everywhere, that moment, i am seriously overwhelmed
26years of life, this is the very first time i join a rally
i did all sort of volunteer work since high school
as a first aider for 6years served the mankind
do the charity work during my university time
join a charity runs couple years ago
but this is the very first time i did something for my country
i recalled few years ago before our national day
Astro did a programme, interviewed all sort of people
starts with “I am proud to be a Malaysian because…”
lots people were saying some sort of funny thing like
“we have all sort of variety in food & culture”
then i told my friends, i couldn’t really finish the sentence
because i don’t know what could i be proud of my country
KLCC? culture? races? foods? i am not sure
but on the day, 428, when we sang “Negaraku”
i am so proud of myself being in the scene
doing my bit for my country, Malaysia needs a change
and 1/10 of people gathered in the city for this
we were all peaceful no pushing no running
yes, there were few people at the scene are still bias
i’ve heard one fella yelling “police babi” to the police
but he was then stopped by others immediately
it is impossible for everyone in the rally is mature and national
but i am certain, the majority of the crowd come with peace
i’ve left the area around 2:30pm shortly after we sang “Negaraku”
because i started to felt exhausted and kind of dizzy
i guess that’s because i didn’t have proper rest a day before & no breakfast
when i left the crowd is still peaceful with the smile
all we do is chanting “Bersih” “stop lynas” “buka pintu”
never anything aggressive or violence
i was not there when the whole thing turned bad
however, i will never gonna believe the same crowd became violence in 30mins for no reason
perhaps there were people got provoked easily
there were lots of version of the story why thing turned violence
i’ve seen a lot of the video clips and photo
i understand the police are only following orders
but why the heck do you beat up weaponless civilians like that?
the police appear to be lack of proper training
maybe some of them are not even an official police officer yet, who knows?
in the other countries like US, UK etc
if you think the order is not right and contradicted the vow you have made
you have your rights to refuse to follow the orders
i think this is not likely to be happens in Malaysia, YET
this is why we need to change
a clean election is only a starts
i am not sided to any party of the politicians
but i know for sure the current government is wasting our country our time our money
they spent our money for nothing, NOTHING but some sort of hermes bag
we don’t know if it will be better for the opposition party takes charge of the country
no one is certain for anything
but, since the current one didn’t do us much good in the previous 50+years
why not we try something new?
i am proud for Malaysian who step up and join us in the street
and my deepest condolences for those who was injured
and very sorry for the victim’s family
let’s us be sure they do not die in vain or injured for nothing
make your vote counts in the next election
and we shouldn’t be afraid to join the crowd
if there is a Bersih 4.0, i will still be there. Are you?
